i heard this song on 99x this morning and fell instantly in love.  grab my iphone.  shazam to learn the artist.  ten minutes later, i hear it again on star94.  two minutes pass, i hear it on Q100.  so this is about to get majorly played out, but i'm oh so diggin' it today.  kcrw's version below is a great listen and watch.

new flo album is splendid in it's entirety.  girl's got soul.  i always dig it.  my favorites are rotating.  "never let me go" has a spiritual tone that just makes this song explode with emotion even more than her others.  "spectrum" makes me want to go out on the town and dance.  "only if for a night" is good for runs.

oh and just for kicks- not on the album but i can completely relate to her in this video - except the part where she sings along and her voice sounds great...

this station is hands down the best pandora channel.  i listen to music all day at my desk so i quickly burn through albums and am always looking for new stuff.  sometimes i'm just expired, tired of my rotation and too busy to stop and pick out an artist.  enter pandora.  everyone knows the greatness of this online radio site but there are definitely some days that i exhaust my song skips and can't quite find what i want. although i would say i am never not in the mood for the band of horses channel.  thank you for being so reliable.  too many favorites but will leave you with this one.

a good running song

i would consider myself barely a coldplay fan.  for how much music i listen to, they are about 1 for 10 with their songs.  so you can imagine my surprise when i've absolutely fallen in love with their new one "paradise."  a good, solid emotional song on repeat can extend the life of my run for miles (ok mile, let's get real.)  sunny day.  definitely hitting piedmont park later.

ryan adams

oh how i love ryan adams.  i am thankful for his new album today.  ashes & fire is on repeat this week.  "invisible riverside" is my favorite so far, specifically at minute 02:36.  i haven't enjoyed an instrumental solo this much since wilco's "impossible germany."  entire album rocks.  the tortured artist finally found love in miss mandy moore, so the lyrics are more "love will mend your heart" (lucky now) and less "what the fuck's wrong with me" (halloween head.) i am so into him either way.  perfect music for a fall day by the fire with a cup of hot tea.
